The Food & Agriculture Organization decided to publish a brochure for the activities it undertook for promoting nutrition-sensitive agricultural & nutrition practices among vulnerable tribal women in the forests & mountains of Odisha through community videos. A major challenge here was to make an information-centric brochure interesting to read & look and that’s when colors came to the rescue. Since the report focussed on making women empowered & self-reliant, it only made sense that the design also reflects the spirit & power of women. Starting with a colorful sketched image of an Indian woman, the paint color scheme of yellow as a representation of enlightenment, happiness, hope, and a hint of pink made the ultimate connection of the reader to the beneficiary.
